Music building

7DrumCity is a hub at the center of DC’s music community. In a city that is starved for granular, neighborhood-scale creative spaces, 7DrumCity is a catalyst and a refuge for people learning, teaching, and performing music. 

The design of the expansion building doubled the overall footprint of the space, thereby increasing the organization’s capacity to provide lesson, band practice, and performance space.  The building operates as both an active, community gathering space and a private refuge for individuals to focus in intimate lessons or practice sessions.
